Butterfly Pavilion
A few weeks ago, Andrea and I took the kiddos down to the Butterfly Pavilion... SO not worthy the money!!! It was actually kind of a dump, but Avery did LOVE watching all the butterflies going EVERYWHERE! Malachi and Rachel screamed for most of the time there (I will confess that it was a little freaky at times being dive-bombed by hundreds of flying creatures).
A butterfly on Avery's back... pretty cool.
"Hi Butterfly!"
Here's little Rachel clinging to her momma's hand b/c she was SCREAMING!

Happy Birthday Avery!
JULY 31st... HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY SWEET GIRL!
Getting the paper with dad on her birthday... a daily ritual.
Avery had the biggest eyes when she saw this huge Elmo & a huge Cookie Monster inside!
Pin the nose on Elmo... Emma won this game!
The pullstring pinata was a little anti-climatic with no candy coming out!
Which made the boys in the group excited to beat the pinata silly... it was hilarious!
Avery & Grandma... say "CHEESE!"
This was Avery's big present... a play kitchen... I think the other kids played with it more that day than she did! :)
Our tongues were beet red after eating that Elmo cake!!!
She LOVED the cake!
All things Sesame Street for Avery's 2nd birthday and it was a total blast! She did great and loved watching people. Her sweet friends blessed her so much. Pin It

A Happier Garden
Per request, I am blogging some pics of my garden post hail-thrashing(s)... 6 to be exact. It looks okay now... although I'm totally depressed that I won't get hardly any tomatoes. Oh well. I am still thankful that I've harvested a few things!
Baby carrots & Serrano peppers (I've got a lot now)
Basil... an Italian's favorite
This tomato may look large, but it is smaller than my pinky fingernail... yes, that small
Have gotten quite a few sugar-snap peas... awesome!
Mint... I've also got chocolate mint which smells amazing

Say Cheese!
Avery loves to pose for the camera and her new thing is yelling "CHEESE!" when we take a picture of her. Her smile looks a little crooked sometimes, but is still totally cute.

Blogs are Coming
Okay... I have been MIA for the last month+... With taking seminary classes, having a family of 5 living in our basement, Brian having elbow surgery, the national staff conference for Crusade, and (oh yeah) being a MOM... I haven't quite had a second to put up anything new.
SO, stay tuned during the next week for some fun and exiting updates! Well, fun and exciting for some (Avery's 2nd Birthday for example!).
Thanks for praying for our family! ~Rachel Pin It
