So, I started a blog where I can share some of the things that bring me life... food, cooking, art, pottery, photography, working in the garden... And it is up and running! If you have ever asked me for a recipe, that is where they will be! If it isn't on there, then please let me know and I will post it!
If no one ever reads it, I'm okay with that.... I have had so much fun creating and putting together some of the things I've created that it has been worth it!
Happy Blogging!

Is That A Happy Face?
Avery is a hoot. She does this fake laugh that when you look at her face, its not clear whether she is laughing or crying. Especially when you capture it on film, it looks pretty funny. Pin It

Thank You Bill
So, my father-in-law bet me over Christmas that I couldn't slip some avocado into a meal without him noticing. And, of course, I took that challenge! I made my favorite chili and slipped the avocado in... during the course of eating Bill said, "This is the best chili I've ever had." HA! Victory and $20 heading my way! On Christmas day I revealed to him that I had won.
I write all of this to say thank you to my sweet father-in-law for this really cool camera strap that I just bought with the money I won from him.
And let me thank my good friend Meaghan for her great idea to get a cool camera strap. Hers is really cool and I had to jump on that bandwagon. I got mine HERE. Pin It

Little Chef
Anytime I am in the kitchen cooking Avery wants to join in on the fun. She is a great stirrer and probably enjoys playing with my spice rack more than the actual cooking.
PS. I am in process of adding a bunch of my favorite recipes to the sidebar of my blog... so keep an eye out! Pin It

Balance Beams & Somersaults
So yesterday we took Avery to her first gymnastics class for 2 year olds... she is officially a "Roly Poly." It was AWESOME! Brian got to do the class with her and I stood outside the room and snapped about a thousand pictures! I was smiling the whole time watching my sweet girl have the time of her life jumping, rolling, running, flapping her arms, she just had so much fun! And I think she looked so cute in her little leotard with her precious belly hanging out.
She smiled the whole time and it was so cool to watch her gain confidence every time she climbed on to the balance beam. And whenever they jumped they were supposed to yell "stick" and put their arms in the air. It was precious!
Here's her class...
Her teacher is great & she smiled at herself in the mirror as she walked on the beam...
She LOVED doing somersaults down this slanted mat... Here's an action shot!
Avery and Daddy after class... beaming!

The Belly
So I haven't been so on top of anything during this pregnancy... I'm just trying to survive the days. The baby is kicking like a crazy woman and growing faster than is comfortable that's for sure. I finally snapped a profile pic (not necessarily my favorite thing in the world to have a picture of me looking so large). 25 weeks along and here's the belly:

Big Girl
So, we got Avery into a "big girl bed" that she LOVES! Every day she just wants to play on her bed. She seems so small in her bed... we had to take pictures, of course.

Avery's Apple Phone
Avery has started saying something that is so cute... especially if she is talking to someone on the phone she will say, "how you doin'?" She will even just spontaneously ask me that sometimes. It's hilarious. We happened to catch her in prime form after dinner one evening as she was using the last bit of her apple as a phone. Some of it is hard to follow, but hope it will bring a smile to your face!

Christmas '09
Christmas in the Schultz house was really fun, a little (or a lot) chaotic, and way too much good food! Avery LOVED the Christmas tree this year and helped us decorate it. She was enamored with one star on the bottom and held it and looked at it probably every day for the month of December.
On Christmas eve we went to church and got the kids all dolled up. Avery loved her dress and kept saying, "I look like a princess!" Which... she did.
Avery and her cousin Rachel were precious!
Avery loved twirling her skirt.
I couldn't resist snapping this shot of her staring at a candle... pretty cute.
She was pretty funny on Christmas morning and wasn't so thrilled about opening all the presents, but she was definitely excited about her Dora cell phone and the stuffed cat she got from Grammy. Halfway through opening presents she actually wanted to watch Dora (which she did for a while). So, there you go!
Both Brian's and my parents came into town for Christmas which was great. Avery had fun with her Grammy & Grampy.
Santa even came to our house on Christmas day!!! Oddly enough he looks a lot like Grandpa Bob? Avery wasn't too sure about him, but she still was excited to see him none the less and kept saying, "ho, ho, ho!"
